About 2 months ago I received an e-mail from Thermo Fisher, proudly presenting the outcome of the first Euro FAIMS meeting organised by them."This past month, European FAIMS users met for discussions about selectivity and how to improve results. The expectations were to establish an open dialogue between users and factory research representatives. The end result was that users feel more connected to each other, and to Thermo Fisher Scientific, than ever before."
I do not want to comment on the meeting or Thermo equipment or anything like that, but what I find funny is that the meeting was called EuroFAIMS whereas about all the participants are German. True Gemany is in Europe and an important country, founding member of the European Union and an advocate of a united Europe, but calling it EuroFAIMS while it principly is a German meeting is stretching it to far.
Ah well, it was the first meeting so they will do better next time.
